THE MISSION & OUR WHY

Our roots run deep in the community. Anchored with love, pride, stewardship, and economic abundance our communities were once thriving safehavens for many of our ancestors. Due to so many challenges, we have faced whether politically, economically, or environmentally, we need to restore, beautify, and make our communities whole again.

In Search of Our Garden, we will soon become a collective of emotionally invested people rooted in the community who holistically develop people, communities, and land in underserved neighborhoods.  We know first hand that our communities are facing many crises such as housing, poverty, and food inequities and in dire need of restoration.  We are dedicated to providing people with quality, safe, and affordable housing, economic revitalization,  and green spaces.

We are focused on restoring a place of community, social impact, and skillset in the neighborhood. We're on a mission to create sustainable resources, foster relationships and grow a network of support. We plan to offer workshops to mentorship programs, we strive to empower our neighbors with the knowledge and skills that will help them succeed just as all those before us did in the community.
